Not long had passed since Dan had decided that he would become a pirate, he had even already chosen a name for his pirate crew, "The No-Beard Pirates," which to Dan was a fairly intriguing name that really defined him has he had no facial hair whatsoever, not even a bit of stubble. After dressing up in some shorts and flip flops he put on an apron over his shirtless body as it was to be his last day working the ice cream stand his father worked at til death. After refilling the ice cream bins he put the buckets in the rolling vending machine and made his way to the town center which as always, was beautiful. There was an elegant fountain in the center with shops and restaurants surrounding it, plenty of tourists roamed the streets, Dan could even pick out a group of pirates, although they didn't seem like they were causing trouble and there were no marines around at the time. Dan would then set up the stand in front of the fountain where everyone could see it, as the blazing sun shined upon him like a spotlight drawing attention from every angle of the market-like area. As children came Dan would give them each a free scoop of ice cream, knowing they would beg their parents to come back for more. After a couple of hours Dan was getting tired of standing up and he was getting over heated too, as a bead of sweat dripped down the right side of his forehead. Dan decided he would take a break and scoop some ice cream for himself, but which flavor to choose. He stood there for what seemed like hours trying to decide between chocolate and vanilla which were both amazing flavors and ended up taking half a scoop of each onto his sweet sugar cone. He would then take a seat on a bench near the stand with his back against the fountain licking his ice cream like a child which was quite a sight since he was such a tall and muscular guy, it a way it was actually quite humorous.

Kino was wandering through Loguetown. He was wearing a rather 'fancy' getup. His outfit included a red dress shirt, where the collar was folded down, over a bit of his black jacket. His black jacket hid the sleeves, though they were folded back as well, shortening them. He wasn't sure as to why people did it, though he did it just to simply avoid them from getting dirty. He was also wearing black pants.

As Kino would walk he would be adjusting the tie around his neck. He felt it was too tight earlier, so he wanted to loosen it up a bit, as it had become quite irritating, and he felt as if it was getting harder for him to breath. Perhaps it was due to the heat, what with him wearing such a dark outfit, it was practically calling for the heat to focus upon him, making it seem quite hotter than it actually was. He continued towards the center of the town, where he saw quite a few more people. Tourists no doubt, they were all excited. It was strange that Kino wasn't, then again he was playing the part of a thanksgiving turkey being roasted in the oven. He saw a group of kids going out for icecream, at a stand near the front of a fountain. Looking around he took note of a group of pirates, or at least they seemed to be. He began to look around for a hotel, sure that one would be located around this area.

He took notice of the man who was once handing out ice cream walking over to a bench and sitting down, he figured he wasn't a tourist so he would walk over and began to speak. "Do you happen to know where a hotel is?" He would ask, considering he needed a place to stay due to missing the cruise ship before it had sailed off.

Shun Takehiko was finding it unusually difficult to move about that day, but as stubborn as he was, he never thought for one second that it could be due to his dark clothes absorbing the heat of the sun. His hood hung low over his face, careful to hide his major identifying features, including his eyes. He cast his gaze over the obvious pirates in the corner of the town centre, taking particular note of one of them who held a tankard of ale filled to the brim to his lips. The froth stuck to the pirate's moustache as he drank, and was evidently visible as he took it away and slammed it onto the table, splashing grog everywhere. The pirate burst out in laughter, brushing back his oily black hair, then pointing and guffawing at a second pirate who seemed to be grinning at his own joke. The third in the trio seemed unimpressed.

Ignoring them for now, Shun then moved on to the ice-cream stand, his mouth curving into a frown as he then discovered it was unmanned. He looked around, then seeing a man in an apron sitting with two ice-cream scoops of his own.
"Hey. Serve me an ice." Shun called out to the man, his deep voice echoing over the crowd otherwise filled with the giggling of children, guffawing of the pirate or serious speech of adults. Then the crowd went quiet.
"What?" Shun asked, wondering why it had suddenly gone so quiet. A shadow of a cloud cast across the landscape, blocking out the sun's warmth. A little wind picked up, blowing Shun's grey clothes around. He peered at the group of pirates, all three of which were now staring at the man.

"I give the orders around here." The pirate who'd been unimpressed by the man's joke spoke quietly, but with the crowd so quiet already, it was impossible not to hear him. "You'd do well not to step into my business."
Curious as to what he could've possibly done wrong, Shun let out a little chuckle. "What, you think you're the only one that can ask for an ice-cream? You didn't even ask for one."
"Hey, our man's a little sensitive." The pirate with an overly-strong sense of humour pointed out. "He don't like it when other people challenge his skills to orderin' a good bite." He then burst out into laughter. The other two pirates and the rest of the crowd stayed in stunned silence.

Dan would be joyfully licking his delicious chocolate and vanilla hybrid ice cream cone, enjoying every moment of it as it would probably be his last ice cream cone in a while since he was closing down the shop and starting his own pirate crew and all. Taking the last lick left on the cone and just about to munch on the cone, a man in a dark suit walked up to him, this man was obviously not from around here and to Dan it appeared as though he had no common sense either it was an incredibly hot day to be wearing so much clothes. Dan knew if he was to be wearing clothing like that he would be sweating his ass off, he couldn't help, but chuckle to himself as the man asked him a question wondering where the hotel is. As a matter of Dan did know where the town's inn was, he had lived here his whole life how could he not. He would then swallow the last bit of his ice cream cone, stand up and dust his hands off getting rid of the crumbs. He was now towering over this man in a suit and even casting a shadow over him as he was so much larger muscular wise too. Dan answering the man would say, "You're not from around here are you?" chuckling a bit more then continuing, "Yeah, you can find the hotel near th-..."

He was cut off by a seemingly rude man who was also for some reason wearing a variety of dark clothes covering his body. At this point Dan was thinking that this was all some kind of joke, he didn't think there could be more than one idiot who would wear so much clothing on a hot summer day. Before Dan could finish answering the man, the mood seemed to get a bit eerie as the clouds covered the sun and a slight breeze started, this dumb ass had just gotten into an argument with some pirates and people were starting to whisper among themselves, a couple of boys seemed to run towards the Marine HQ where they would probably inform them of what had just happened. Dan decided he would stop this now, before the cocky bastard got his ass whooped by the pirates, even if the man was strong there would be no way he could stand physical activities at such a discomfort with the hot clothing. With incredibly physical prowess Dan would rush at the the group of three pirates and once getting to the table he would leap over feet first kicking the pirate across the table straight in the face with both legs as he grabbed the faces of the two pirates on opposites sides with his large arm span and hands smashing their heads into the concrete ground as he landed on the main pirate's face. The pirate that was kicked in the face was knocked out unconscious and the other two pirates seemed to be twitching on the ground.

Dan standing up from his kneeling position would dust his hands laughing pretty hard as he usually did, he was a fairly noisy guy after all. But his laughing was caught short as the doors of the bar that pirates had been sitting at opened, and then was when Dan realized that was only a portion of their crew. Around ten thug looking men came out of the bar, a couple with guns and a few with swords and there was one man with a pirate's hat who was obviously the captain. This man was almost as tall as Dan standing at probably two inches lower and quite plump for that matter, well at least it seemed like it, until he yelled out towards Dan after seeing his men on the ground, "You son of bitch! Did you do that to my men?! I'm gonna teach you not to fuck with the Beer Belly Pirates!" After hearing such a name Dan couldn't help, but laugh, who named their crew the Beer Belly Pirates. Although Dan's quick underestimation came to a shortcoming the fat captain seemed to be incredibly fast as he rushed at Dan, both hands outstretched, locking in with Dan's hands. It was now a battle of strength, but Dan knew he couldn't win if the captain had pirates behind him. Yelling back towards the man in black he would say, "Hey black suit! Wanna help a man out?! I'll take the fatty, but I need you guys to handle the men!" Forgetting there was two people behind him wearing black clothing or "suits" he wouldn't care, they would probably get confused and both start fighting or at least Dan hoped so before he was shot or sliced.

Post by Kyodo M. Kino Wed Aug 07, 2013 8:41 am

"Yeah, you can find a hotel near th-" He heard, the man had seemed to know where a hotel was, which had put a grin on Kino's face, to be able to sit in an air-conditioned room, sit down on a nicely made bed, and simply relax while changing into some lighter colored clothing, however as this man spoke he was interupted, thus he didn't finish answering Kino's question. He sighed, and looked over to where the noise was coming from. Of course, it was from the pirates. He saw them seemingly arguing with the man standing at the icecream stand. Kino's eyebrow would raise as he began to wonder as to why they bothered to argue with him, perhaps simply to cause trouble.

Kino would simply stand there, turning towards the man rather than focusing upon the pirates. "So, you were sayi-" he would begin to say, then took note that the man was no longer there. He sighed, looking around, then noticing he was rushing towards the very pirates which had interrupted him. It would seem as if the man had quite the temper with those who didn't show their manners.. He sighed, and simply watched the fight. He watched the man leaping up into the air, towards the pirates, then kicking one of the three in the face. Perhaps the man knew how to fight? Possible, after all, in the era where pirates raided one's village, one should know how to fight. The man still in mid-air, due to kicking the pirate's face with both of his feet, would grab the other two pirate's faces. Both of them were sitting right across from each other. When the fight 'finished' the one kicked in the face was unconscious, while the other two still seemed to be conscious though in somewhat 'serious' pain. Their attacker would stand up, and begin to laugh as he dusted off his hands. Perhaps this happened often to him? Quite the confusing person, at least in his own opinion.

More pirates came out from a bar, some holding guns. "This is getting interesting.." He would say silently, to where no one would hear him. The pirate announced his crew's name, the Beer belly pirates. Kino had managed to hold back a laugh, though his grin disappeared when the attacker began to call Kino by the name of "Black Suit" he sighed, the man was asking for help for the trouble he had caused.. all well, Kino supposed this wasn;t too large of a hassle. He figured he could hold them off until the marines would appear. He charged for a man with a gun, his arms moving back and forth as he ran, when approaching a group of them, he bent his left leg to where he was kneeling down on it, and began to spin around as he would stick his right leg out, attempting to trip them, to where hopefully they would drop their weapons so he could get a hold of one. After all, he wasn't that well when it came to physical fighting.

Shun didn't think of reacting before Dan threw himself at the pirates and promptly knocked them out, signalling the arrival of the others from within the bar. Being part of the Beer Belly pirates, they were surely there to avenge their shipmates.
"Hey, I think you overdid it, mr ice-cream man." Shun smiled wryly. With Dan and the fat pirate Captain locked in a battle of strength, Shun decided now was the time to act, but he couldn't help but worry about the boy from earlier who'd snuck off to find a marine. Shun had to finish this quickly.

He took a step forward, then another step. The next step was made even faster, and the step after that was almost indiscernible. He weaved through the crowd and past Kino who'd already found an opponent. He skidded to a halt behind one of the pirates, swiftly pulled a cutlass from its sheath and cut their back within the space of a second.
"I may not be that fast in reality, but I do try." Shun smiled as he thought to himself, then standing upright with his newfound cutlass. Another Beer Belly pirate had spotted him, and moved to strike from Shun's left. Shun dived away from the strike of the cutlass, which smacked into a wooden table and knocked the beer that had been resting on it off, sending it flying. The beer glasses smashed on the cobbled ground, drenching it. Shun took advantage of this temporary distraction, using the back of his cutlass to strike the man in the small of his back. Caught off-guard, he was sent tumbling forward into the puddle.

Then ignoring the Beer Belly pirate whom was now flopping like a fish on dry land, yelling for something to dry the beer from his eyes, he dashed around another member of the pirate crew, slamming into them and forcing them backward a step. It was only a step - Shun hadn't expected the man to put up so much resistance. Then he looked into his eyes, and they betrayed his on-guard stance. Without time to react, Shun was sent flying backward, blood splashing from a chest wound. He landed on the cobble, yelling as he tried to staunch the diagonal scar across his chest. The man who had attacked him had forseen Shun's attack, and struck back with a counterattack before Shun could even knock him down.

Locked in combat with this chubby monster of a man Dan couldn't really keep track about anything else, but what he could hear was groaning and screaming of the pirates going down couple by couple which made Dan smile. Even if they were complete idiots they were actually getting work done and making fools of these pirates, maybe what Dan was looking for was right in front of him maybe, if Dan could just take out this one fat guy he could ask them to join his crew, the No-Beard Pirates, still Dan liked thinking of it because of how catchy it was. Dan while still locked in combat was contemplating whether he would go by the epithet of "No-Beard" or just go by his name, it was a difficult name, but he wanted to be well known for his name so he was leaning towards using only his name, but then again people would still most likely know his name if he went by "No-Beard", in the end he decided that he would just wait and see since he had plenty of time to decide on that later, after they made it out of this alive. Now all Dan had to do was take out this guy and they could peacefully leave or so he hoped.

Dan then heard a thud which wasn't unusual since all the pirates were falling, but this one wasn't just a thud, it was a thud followed by the cackling of pirate. Dan didn't know which one of them had fallen, but he couldn't turn back and see and he couldn't help them until this brawl was over. Dan needed to finish this quickly and that was just the encouragement he needed, in his mind nobody was to hurt his future crew. Dan's eyes widened and if one were to look at him directly in his eyes at that time they might have even been able to see hell itself. Dan had a bit of a rage issue and the thing that brought it about most was when his allies were hurt by the enemy especially when the enemy laughed about it. Dan would then squeeze the fat man's chubby hands crushing his knuckles in the process, the man winced in pain as if he knew he had already lost this battle. Holding the man still by his arms Dan brought up his with full force into the man's gut sending him a couple back and twitching on the ground like most of his crew. Dan then turned to the laughing pirate who had slashed what Dan now saw to be the cocky bastard and smashed a fist straight into his face send him flying about a meter. Having hit the man so hard man swung his hand around out of pain, he didn't think he broke knuckles, but his hand was definitely going to hurt for a while.

Making sure every pirate was down on the ground, either unconscious or writhing in pain, Dan would rush over to the man with a slash down his chest, his clothing was torn and Dan would pull it apart if the man allowed him to check the wound. The wound would only be a flesh wound and not too deep either, but it was still bleeding and Dan needed to stop it somehow. Then Dan remembered he was wearing an apron and took it off, before wrapping it around the man horizontally and tying it around the back he would say, "I need to stop the bleeding," although Dan didn't know anything about medical studies making it difficult to say what this cut could cause, either way the man looked tough. Dan would then ask, "Can you get up or do you need me to carry you?" If the man were to get up Dan would lend him a hand, if he were to groan or reply for Dan to carry him, Dan would pick him up and throw him over his shoulder. Before they could even have a talk before all this was over Dan heard a loud speaker connected to a Den Den Mushi.

The voice Dan heard before looking around said in fairly mouse like voice, "We have you surrounded pirates. You have an option and one only, to surrender or I can order my men to open fire on you." Dan was surprised to hear this and he supposed he eventually would have to hear this, then at that moment he was shocked beyond imagination. He looked around and they were surrounded, every pathway blocked and every shop covered, by marines with loaded and ready rifles aiming straight at them. Dan choked a bit then he glanced down at where the cocky bastard had been lying, it's like the sea god was calling for them. Dan then choked a bit and spoke to the other two quietly and quickly, "Uh... First I want you guys to join my crew. Second, follow me, we're heading East to the docks to get us a ship." As if in fluid motion, Dan would pretend to stumble and fall right on top of their savior, a sewer lid. The marines hadn't fired, they probably expected the three to all be injured after a brawl. The marine captain then once more talked into his Den Den Mushi, yet Dan still couldn't pinpoint where this man was, "I'll give you til the count of three to make up your minds. One... Tw-..." Before the man could even get to three Dan popped the lid of the sewer and dropped down head first landing on his shoulder into a somersault in the sick green waters of the sewers, the smell was putrid, he had hoped the other two had followed him down and once they dropped if they dropped, tons of gunfire could be heard from above and marines yelling, "Head to the docks! Head to the docks! Do NOT let them escape!" In the sewers there wasn't much light other than that coming from the sewer lids, but it was enough to get where they were going, taking the East pathway Dan would start running as fast as he could, they needed to beat the marines there.

Post by Kyodo M. Kino Thu Aug 08, 2013 7:45 am

As Kino would continue to run towards the enemies, the one who was involved with the argument would run past him. Apparently his speed was greater, by how much couldn't be defined in this simple race to their opponent. He didn't mind him, he simply proceeded with his own actions, tripping over one of the Beer belly pirates, causing them to drop their gun. Kino would simply pick up said gun, rise, and point it at one of the pirates who just so happened to be targeting him. His opponent was cowering in fear due to the gun being pointed at him, Kino didn't blame him. Though no time for pity, he figured, as he began to fire the gun. His shot was successful, though he didn't aim for a fatal wound, blood would begin dripping from a spot on the man's torso, he yelled out in pain. He would watch someone with a sword dashing towards him, Kino would simply glare at him. "Bringing a sword into a gun fight, eh? Not very wise." He would tell the man, who was still a fair distance away, as he aimed the gun once more, then firing it.This man was more silent as he fell, though, perhaps the reasoning was due to him accidentally dealing a fatal wound to the pirates. He looked over at the other group, and would begin to wonder as to why they bothered to stick around, considering they just viewed two members of their nakama dying. He would point the gun towards them, and grin, as they would simply drop their weapons and run. He would check to see what the progress was for the other two.

When Kino looked over at the one who had began the physical fight, rather than simply sticking with a war of words, he looked as if his fight was going well. When he looked over at the other man, who started, or at least was involved in the war of words, he had been wounded. He wasn't sure if the wound was sever or not, however he most likely would need the aid of a medical specialist, otherwise known as a doctor later on. He raised his gun, in attempts to aim and injure the one who had injured him. The reasoning behind this wasn't due to the wound of his temporal comrade, but instead due to the fact that this foolish pirate had downed his own guard, allowing for Kino to kill, if not wound the man. Though he didn't fire, he was interupted by the other temporary ally. He simply lowered the gun, all the pirates on his end either being too scared to fight, or were already dead. The ones who were scared obviously had a weak will, and weren't capable of handling too much violence without fearing their own deaths, judging by the way these pirates were acting he wouldn't really say they were the violent type either, as they seemed to only have been joking around. Meh, he thought. As the one who had started the fight went to aid the other, Kino himself began to look for a holster for the gun he was wielding. He had decided he would keep this weapon, after all, so far he didn't have that much of a bad aim with it. He also then looked over at the swords. Two weapons couldn't hurt.. could it? He picked one up, then grabbed a sheath to go along with it. He sheathed the blade into the scabbard, and then walked over to the two as the one who had started the fight, which had started the fight, was asking the downed temporary comrade as to whether or not he could stand.

Before Kino would walk off and leave the two with their own troubles, he would hear a speaker, shouting that they have the pirates surrounded, and that their only option was to surrender. Kino simply gazed over at the lot of them, and raised an eyebrow. Apparently marines had the best timing ever. Though it was strange, they were talking to mainly unconscious, and or dead pirates. He began to piece together the puzzle, however before he could finish his puzzle the one who began the fight would ask the two to join his crew, and then to follow him. Kino raised his other eyebrow, another piece added to the puzzle it appeared. When he finished, which took no more than a brief second, he began to figure the man who had started the fight was a pirate, and the marines possibly knew that, therefore when Kino helped him, he would have been judged a pirate as well.. He was silent for a few seconds, as he began to follow the man, angry. His vacation having been "ruined" though at the same time he could live his dream of becoming a pirate... though he wanted to be the captain, he didn't figure it would matter right now. So long as the man believed Kino was joining his crew, then he would most likely help him.

Kino had followed the man to the sewers. Inside them it was dark, of course. Considering these "tunnels" of sewer systems, assuming they could be called tunnels, it was what Kino had always called them, were underground, they wouldn't get much light unless there was electricity set up, which was unnecessary. It was also rather filfthy, he had a feeling his suit would be ruined from this miniature adventure in escaping the marines and defying the world government, to become an outlaw. He sighed, not too thrilled about becoming a pirate so early in his life. He was running, as was the man who was leading was, towards where ever the hell they were off traveling to. If they were told, then Kino must have missed it.

"Ugh, seriously?" Shun groaned as Dan wrapped his wound up with his apron, not paying attention to his questions before the marines showed up. He was hauled over Dan's shoulder, much to his chagrin. As Dan made his way 'stealthfully' into the sewer, Shun groaned as Dan's movements caused his wound to open up even more. By now, the apron was half-covered in fresh, red blood. The wound seemed to be quite deep and painful, but had missed most of his vital organs. As long as he could get to a doctor or medical professional, he'd most likely live.

The gunfire echoed throughout the sewer as the marines above fruitlessly fired their weapons.
"You do know they'll have run to defend their most powerful ships now? They've probably left... a small one unguarded." Shun pointed out, face contorting in agony halfway through his sentence.

The East pathway opened up to a giant chamber of falling water which was filtered into an underground pit, ready to be pumped back into the ocean. Beyond this pit lay a network of several smaller tunnels, the water levels in them occasionally rising and falling as toilets around the city were used. This being daytime, the water and waste levels would be at their highest, something Shun wasn't looking forward to.
"By the way, I hope you know about the Sewergators." Shun chuckled weakly.

Its only been recent since her transfer to Marine Base in Loguetown as she rushes as civilians move aside for her group. " Clear a path!!!" she yells to the men in front of her as the move people off the streets as the docks is still but long ways ahead. " Thankfully this gets me off desk job" She smirks as she rounds the street corner and gets ever more closer to the dock. " Remember...they must not ...secure our ships!!!" She starts to slowly pass the Marines in front as she takes the lead " It is our sworn duty to not let these criminals escape!!!" .

They soon reach the group as she falls in line with her group as the 3 groups split to secure each boat as Shirenai watches her group head to the ship on the left as she tries too located her Superior for her next orders. " Sir!!!"

Dan could hear the footsteps of many marine soldiers following close behind them above the sewers and he could even see their shadows if he looked back at the sewer plates that rained in bits of light. After running for a good ten minutes they finally arrived at the docks as the water level had risen and this was the last bit of light that be seen from a sewer lid. Dan would then look behind him and tell the uninjured man to be as quiet as possible, then Dan would with one arm climb the ladder, still holding the injured can and open the lid just enough to peek through and it was just in time to see three groups of marines run by, but why had they run by was what Dan was thinking, why wouldn't they have blocked the sewers instead. Then it hit Dan, they had probably thought that since they left before the marines, that they were trying to get a hold of a marine ship. So now their were locking down the three marine ships as Dan could see, but he also noticed a few other ship's which were merchant one's, this was the perfect opportunity to sneak by all these crowds and hop on one of those. There were so many people that Dan didn't think that the marines would be able to find them even if they were looking from that distance. There were merchant stands everywhere, Dan then gave a hand sign for the man still down the ladder to come up and he whispered, "Let's sneak by these people and hop on a merchant ship, you in?" If the man agreed to Dan's proposition, Dan would hand the injured guy to him as he was tired of holding him. Just as they would have gotten out of the sewers Dan would hear a loud panting as he looked to his right, it was a marine wearing a white captain's jacked and holding a Den Den Mushi, had that been Dan's lucky day? Dan without thinking about it for another moment would rush the exhausted marine captain and grab him from behind around the waist with his left hand and put his right hand in a suffocating position around the captain's mouth and nose, Dan had just taken his first hostage and for some reason it felt right, why would they make a piece of shit like this guy a captain. Keeping the scrawny and weak marine still with his strength and keeping him quiet too, he would have attracted attention from people around, causing them to back away in confusion. Dan would take this moment of an open path to run towards the closest merchant ship, hopefully he had not been spotted with the crowds around, but just as he boarded the ship the man bit Dan's right hand and screamed. Dan couldn't stop the scream and the marines would have probably noticed and come looking for it, but there were at least 6 small merchant ships and they probably wouldn't be able to discern which it came from. Crowds were now starting to scream and run away screaming something about kidnapping and pirates.

Dan had forgotten the possibility of people still being on the ship, which he had just remembered. He then went to go check the rooms, the cabins were empty and so was the restroom, then he went to the other room on the ship and that's where he found the merchant's doctor, how lucky had they been getting, that had been just what they needed. Still holding the captain, and the doctor now in fear of what was happening he didn't move, Dan then called for the black suit man to bring in the injured black cloak man. Dan would then say, "If you care about your life fix this injured man." Not wanting his hopefully new crew member not to die. The doctor, not wanting to die, immediately would have gotten to work pouring anti bacterial alcohol on the mans wound and would start stitching, by this time the merchant ship's other crewmen would have come aboard not wanting their ship stolen, although they had come at the wrong time, Dan just left the doctor's room and still had the marine captive. Dan would then yell at the three men, "If you want your lives spared and your doctor's life spared then you best get this ship started and moving, and if you're lucky I might let you guys float back on a raft." Dan was now starting to get the hang of this tough guy act, but it didn't really seem that great since he was such a nice guy. If everything had gone as planned the merchant's would have set sail with all three pirates on board.

Even if the marines did come after them he still had their captain hostage and aboard, it would most likely not take them long to find out that their captain was missing and the scream had been from him, but no idiot would fire at a ship their captain was held hostage on.

Kino continued to follow his newfound comrades, until the point to where the one leading the two others, including Kino himself, to a safe point in loguetown to escape the marine soldiers, began to say 'let's sneak past them and steal one of the merchants ships.' Kino, not having any other choice simply nodded. He would have already been named a criminal, and he certainly had a better chance of sticking with a group rather than sailing off on his own. Though, he figured he could use the two as a distraction, though it was an iffy chance, and the marines could sail after him than the other two. He simply followed them on board the merchant's ship.

Shun groaned as he was handed down to Kino for looking after whilst Dan went to scout out a possible ship, taking a hostage in the process. Not feeling the help was so necessary, he let go of Kino, climbed up the sewer ladder himself and made his own way to the Ship that Dan had taken over, whilst clutching his wound. He walked agonizingly up the gangplank, his eyes scanning the ship's exterior, but becoming blurry due to his loss of blood and increasing affects of anemia.

As Dan found a medic, he threw open the door to the medical room and set himself down on the bed, groaning. He yelled as the doctor threw alcohol-based antiseptic on his wound, then proceeded to stitch his wounds up. Still barely conscious and not much better in terms of his pain, Shun groaned to Dan.
"Hey, you going to let that hostage go? We can't stay here much longer, we've got marines on our tail." He pointed weakly to a porthole pointing to the port. On the port, a group of marines had just started to gather, the weak crackle of a den-den mushi's voice carrying through the air to the ship.

Dan's captive let out another struggle for freedom with a kick to Dan's chest, aiming to send him flying backwards. With his limbs now presumably free, he made a break for it, dashing to the gangplank and down it. But then his foot caught one of the wooden blocks on the gangplank designed to help people go up and down it, and he slipped, falling to the ocean with a scream. The gangplank was wedged loose by the force of his fall, also falling into the ocean.

Now all that remained was the rope that bound the ship to the port, which could be cut by a cutlass. Seeing this, Shun smiled weakly, pointing to the cutlass he'd left by the operating bed.

Joben was currently swinging softly in a ships hammock. He had previously been hired to help unload some crates so when the crew left to go get there drank on Joben took the opportunity to go back on the ship and take a nap. As he kept swinging a small sliver of light penetrated the wooden beams above him hitting his face every now and then as he swung. He immediately fixed this problem by grabbing his brand new cowboy hat, and by new he meant one that he stole from the stand earlier that morning, over his face. It wasn't long until he was asleep and snoring yet again.

Unfortunately for Joben he was awoken by something else. Some people were yelling outside and there was the sound of boots stomping even farther in the distance. No doubt somebody had been ripped off or hustled again at the docks and a fight broke out. Joben had half a mind to go out there and settle the dispute himself. He started to adjust his body to get up and then quickly relaxed again, finding his current position in the hammock to precious to waste. After all it wouldn't be long till the crew returned and he would be thrown off the ship. He returned to his sleep for a third time going through old songs and memories in his head to block out some of the disturbances until his conscience drifted away and all thought was replaced loud snoring.

Before they could even depart, Dan would have been holding the marine captain, who then attempted to break free by kicking Dan away which he succeeded in attempt as Dan stumbled backwards, although as he was running away he seemed to have tripped and fallen off the gang plank taking it with him into the ocean where he would have needed to be rescued by marines if they were to have heard his scream and seen him. Dan, also noticing that the only thing connecting them to the docks was a single rope, would be directed by the injured man to the cutlass he had, had while they were fighting. Dan would have taken the offer and grabbed the sword running out to the edge of the boat cutting the rope and running back as fast as he could yelling at the merchant's to hurry up which they did, but instead of going back to the medical room Dan went to the bedroom where he had seen the hammocks, in his opinion he needed some rest if they were to go on a voyage, even in the midst of marines chasing them, Dan wasn't afraid as he knew the marines wouldn't attack a ship with innocent people which consisted of merchant's and boat workers at about a total of five. Having walked into the hammock room Dan would have noticed another man laying in one, this surprised Dan as he had come into the room earlier and he hadn't noticed him. It was most likely because Dan was in such a hurry and the man was fast asleep. Not wanting to be rude, Dan ignored the sleeping man and he laid down in a hammock himself hoping everything would be alright, which he supposed it would.

Kino would simply sit back and watch. The two unknown ones were doing their thing trying to set out. The one who led Kino and the injured one to the boat seemed to just be taking note of things, same as Kino. The one who had led the two here was currently dealing with a hostage, who had been resisting somewhat well. He later got away and jumped overboard, to safety. He figured the group would need to set off soon, so he would prepare to be ordered to do something. As they began to set sail, he would rest leaning against a wall.

Having been patched up, Shun drifted slowly off to sleep as the antiseptic finally started working its magic instead of the alcohol stinging his wounds. His doctor had left the room, but didn't seem panicked as he did so, suggesting Shun was no longer in mortal danger. The rocking of the boat from side-to-side calmed his nerves, and the cawing of the seagulls above the boat drowned out the shouts of the marines from the port, some of which were rescuing the man that had fallen into the water.
In his dreams, Shun imagined a two-scoop ice-cream, each scoop being one of chocolate and vanilla.
